The Chair of Strategic Management and Innovation (SMI) at the ETH Zurich, led by Prof. Georg von Krogh, focuses on research and teaching in the areas of innovation and strategy. In order to complete our international team and initiate a new project we are hiring as of November 1st, 2009 a

Ph.D. student in management and organization science (75%)

We seek a highly motivated Ph.D. student for a three-year project on innovation with an empirical focus on the pharmaceutical industry.

Applicants must hold an outstanding master degree, ideally in science or mathematics, with an additional qualification in business administration or economics, or, alternatively, in social sciences with a very strong qualification in empirical research methods. A very good knowledge of English, both written and spoken, is mandatory. Programming skills are an asset.

We offer an appointment for a minimum of 3 years, attractive salary conditions, and working in a team of high diversity (currently 12 full-time members of 6 nationalities). The Institute is located in the center of Zurich and close by the lake.
